She was born Myrna Adele Williams in 1905, and amazingly, she made 78 movies between 1925 and 1933, and she FINALLY got her big break when she signed with MGM, and the next year she made both "The Thin Man" and "Manhattan Melodrama", and the rest, as they say, was history! But what took Hollywood and film goers so long to recognize her amazing beauty and talent? In her early years of making movies, her "exotic" look led her to sometimes be cast as an Asian or Polynesian! She remained a major box office star for over two decades, and she had wonderful chemistry with ALL of her leading men, including William Powell, Cary Grant, Clark Gable, and many others! Some of her other movies include: The Best Years of Our Lives, Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House, The Thin Man, Cheaper By the Dozen, and countless others. She passed away in 1993 at the age of 88. Important Added Info: Note that this item (which is a magazine page that was removed from the magazine and glued to a board) has been personally autographed (signed) by Myrna Loy! Our consignor is a longtime collector who purchased this signed item from a reputable dealer, but he does not have a "certificate of authenticity", but we are certain it is authentic. Also note that this ad was removed from a movie magazine that was printed when this movie first came out. There is printing on the reverse side of the ad, but we don't picture it, because it is surely of little interest. But this ad can be matted or framed for little money and makes a great inexpensive display! Condition: good. The magazine page was removed from the magazine and glued to a board, and there are creases in the top right corner and some scuffing around the edges, but otherwise, the item is in nice condition (see our image).
