An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Mexican Movie Poster (measures approximately 27" x 37") (Learn More) El Vagabundo (literally translates to "The Wanderer"), the 1953 (released in the U.S. in 1954) Rogelio A. Gonzalez & Gilberto Martinez Solares Mexican circus comedy (about a hobo's good deeds getting him in trouble, and eventually, he's in a zoo park within a circus!) starring German Valdes (billed as "Tin-Tan"; in the title role as La Chiva), Aurora Segura, Leonor Llausas, Wolf Ruvinskis, and Marcelo Chavez Artist: Ernesto Garcia Cabral Important Added Info: Note that this is a rare "country of origin" poster for this Mexican movie! Also note that this Mexican poster measures approximately 27" x 37". Condition: good. The poster was missing a somewhat diagonal area in the top right corner running down through the right end of the "N" and almost all of the "D" and the top half of the "O" of "VAGABUNDO". There was small paper loss at the top and bottom crossfolds and a larger area of paper loss at the middle crossfold. There were creases, smudges, and some tiny tears on the foldlines and creases, smudges, tears, and small areas of paper loss in the borders. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, and I think the restored corner was well done. When you look closely at it, you can tell it was replaced, but it definitely does not catch your eye. I think most collectors would be happy to display this cool poster on their wall!
