Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (measures 11" x 14") (Learn More) Devil's Ghost, the 1922 Charles W. Mack silent cowboy western ("A thrilling drama of red-blooded men"; "5 reels") starring Lester Cuneo ("The Smiling Daredevil"). Note that Lester Cuneo had been a major comedy star at the Selig Studio in 1912, but after just a few movies, he chose to re-invent himself as a cowboy star, and had success there as well, also playing dramatic roles at the same time. He served in World War I (WWI), and returned to Hollywood and again began making westerns, playing a character billed as "The Smiling Daredevil". But by the early 1920s, his westerns were less and less successful, and after a series of personal and professional failures, Cuneo could not get any parts at all, and he committed suicide in 1925. Important Added Info: NOTE: In this case, the #2 in the title of this sale is not the number of the lobby card (whenever we know the number of a lobby card we list it for those of you who know which scenes you are looking for). In this case, the cards from this particular set were un-numbered, but because we are selling more than one card from this set this week as separate eBay sales, we needed to differentiate between the sales, and we did so by marking them "#2, #3, etc. (Note that we do not use #1, because this is commonly used to signify the title card). Condition: very good. small yellow stains in bottom border (slightly extending into bottom of image area); creases in lower right blank border; minor creases in other corners; smudges around the edges of the card Learn More about condition grades
