An Original Vintage Campaign Book (measures 9 1/4" x 12 1/2" [23 x 32 cm]; 112 pages) (Learn More) Paramount 1925-26, the 1925 campaign book ("The Golden Forty of Paramount") featuring images and information about upcoming Paramount movie releases for the 1925-26 season including: When Knights Were Bold, The Street of Forgotten Men, Conquered, and many, many more! This was one of Paramount's best ever campaign books. It had 112 numbered pages, each with printing on both sides. They were distributed loose in a portfolio, likely so that theaters could use individual pages for either reference or display. Every page is printed on a quality paper stock, and the quality of color printing is first rate. Lots of the pages have wonderful artwork (often the reverse of the artwork side is information about the movie with some additional small images). Everything is in full color. Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned one example of this campaign book, and that was 7 years ago (that example was only in "fair" condition)! THIS campaign book comes from a legendary collection of campaign books that was collected by one of the first people to recognize the beauty of campaign books, Marty Kearns! Marty spent considerable money locating dozens of these ultra-rare books, and he had each of them professionally bound with a black binding, with the name and year of the campaign book on the outside, and some really cool vintage-looking inside front and back covers (and this was done very expertly, at considerable expense). Also note: We have 14 images of this campaign book, but due to a space limitation, only TEN of the 14 images are displayed above. However, there is a "supersize" link to the right of those images that lets you see the other 4. Condition: good. The original cover that is within the hardcover binding has some stains in the blank area. The rest of the book is in nice condition EXCEPT for the first page of the four page Vanishing American ad. Some long ago owner of this book, perhaps the theater owner who first received it, thought it was clever to cut out the image of the Indian and his horse (see our image)! It is a clever idea, but it is a significant defect for that page, of course. We leave it to the bidders to decide how big a defect it is, because the rest of the book is filled with wonderful ads and is in nice condition! Learn More about condition grades
