An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures approximately 3" x 4") (Learn More) The Marines Fly High, the 1940 George Nichols Jr. & Benjamin Stoloff South America World War II (WWII) Marine Corps military recruiting romantic love triangle melodrama (about two Marine pilots in South America who compete in their job and also for the love of the same woman, a beautiful young redhead) starring Richard Dix, Chester Morris, Lucille Ball, Steffi Duna, John Eldredge, and Kirby Grant NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that there is a diagonal crack in the lower right corner of the front pane of glass. The crack does not enter the edge of the image and otherwise the slide is in nice condition! Glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline). Condition: good. This glass slide has clear condition problems that causes it to be in less than "very good" condition. We do NOT describe those defects in words (UNLESS the defect is a crack in one or both panes of the slide, in which case we ALWAYS describe it elsewhere within the auction in words), and you can likely see some or all of them in the "large" and "super-sized" images we provide. If you are the sort who can accept a major defect, then you should bid on items in this condition grade, BUT PLEASE DO NOT BID ON THESE ITEMS UNLESS YOU CAN ACCEPT THEIR VERY CLEAR DEFECTS!
