Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (measures 11" x 14") (Learn More) Divorced Sweethearts, the 1929 Mack Sennett romantic comedy short ("It takes more than a mustache to make a grandee.") starring Daphne Pollard, Charles Irwin, Ann Christy, Marjorie Beebe, and Wade Boteler. Daphne Pollard was born in 1891 in Australia, and never grew to more than 5 feet tall, and as a child, she was part of the "Pollard Lilliputian Opera Company". Her family moved to Los Angeles in 1907 and she was in vaudeville for a year, and then appeared on Broadway. When sound movies began, she moved to Hollywood and she signed with Mack Sennett, but then switched to Hal Roach, where she appeared in a number of his movies including ones with Laurel and Hardy. She only made a few movies after 1936, and was mostly on Broadway. She passed away in 1978 at the age of 86. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Condition: fine.
