An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Polish Movie Poster (23x33; measures 23" x 32 1/4") (Learn More) Rekopis Znaleziony w Saragossie (released in the U.S. as "The Saragossa Manuscript"), the 1965 Wojciech Has Polish fantasy melodrama (based on the book by Jan Poticki; about an army captain who meets strange women who tell him that he must go on a series of challenging missions to claim his destiny, but a magician and ghosts try to stop him on his journeys) starring Zbigniew Cybulski, Iga Cembrzynska, Elzbieta Czyzewska, Gustaw Holoubek, and Stanislaw Igar. Note that the author of this book committed suicide a year after it was published. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this is a rare "country of origin" poster for this Polish movie! Also note that the poster has an artist's signature on it, but we cannot make it out in the slightest. If anyone knows the name of this artist, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Condition: good to very good. The poster was never folded. It had creases and tears around the edges. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer linenbacked the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above, but they are really not at all distracting (and any restorer could easily touch them up without re-backing the poster).
