An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (measures 11" x 14") (Learn More) Love Is On The Air, the 1937 Nick Grinde radio broadcasting mystery crime thriller ("It's a heart-to-heart hookup!"; "From a story by Roy Chanslor") starring Ronald Reagan, June Travis, Eddie Acuff, Ben Welden, and Robert Barrat. Note that a Warner Brothers executive saw radio announcer Ronald Reagan and decided he had the makings of a major movie star, and had him cast in a starring role in this, his very first movie (playing a reporter)! Reagan is one of the very few actors to start "at the top", and after a long career at Warners, he entered politics, and the rest "is history"! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this is one of 22 lobby cards that were discovered under a floor! All of the cards have darkened, and all have staining and holes (mostly around the edges). These are all extremely rare lobby cards, and any of them can be restored by an expert professional. Since a top restorer can remove much of the darkening and staining through chemical means, and since many of the defects are in the borders, these cards will look great after professional restoration, and most of them will require little paint restoration within the image. Note that there are seven pieces of masking tape on the back of the bottom half of the card, and that there is severe water staining and tears in the bottom of the card, which would make this card more difficult to restore! NOTE: Most lobby cards from before 1940 (and some from after that date) did not have individual lobby card numbers like later lobby cards (those printed after the advent of NSS in 1940) did. So we have arbitrarily assigned numbers to unnumbered lobby cards, only when we sell more than one from a set, so that there is a convenient way to tell different scenes apart. (Note that we do not use #1, because this is commonly used to signify the title card). The exception to this is sets of cards that did not have title cards. Condition: good.
