An Original Vintage Uncut Metal Sheet (measures 20 1/4" x 30 1/4") (Learn More) Marilyn Monroe is one of the greatest larger-than-life movie stars ever of the 1950s, and surely the greatest sex symbol of all time! She appeared in several memorable movies including: Some Like It Hot, The Prince & the Showgirl, All About Eve, The Asphalt Jungle, The Misfits, The Seven Year Itch, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, Monkey Business, and Niagara. The last film that she worked on was Something's Got To Give in 1962. 20th Century Fox blamed Marilyn for the production being behind schedule, and fired her in June (the film was never completed). In August, she was found dead in her home from an apparent drug overdose, and her death was ruled a suicide (though there are theories that foul play was involved, and even in 2024, many people do not feel it was an "accidental" death). Artist: Tom Kelley Important Added Info: Note that this item contains unclothed women, so we have placed a white bar over those areas, for those who are bothered by such images. Of course, the actual item does not have those white bars! Note that this item is a single large sheet of metal which contains the template of two different metal Marilyn Monroe trays. It has a background pattern surrounding the image of Marilyn (with rounded corners) and the entire back of the metal is printed with the same pattern. We can only imagine that the metal trays were actually created from these metal templates (no doubt there is a "metal tray press", which stamps these into the correct shape). So if you have one of those machines, you can quickly turn these into two trays. A good question is when these are from. We know they were originally made in the 1950s, but it would seem more likely that these were made later, perhaps in the 1960s, and perhaps even later. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. In any event, please do not bid on this unless you can accept the uncertainties of its origin, and unless you can accept that it will need to be sent in a very large flat package, because the metal absolutely can't be "rolled". It certainly would make a very unique decoration on the wall, whether the two tray images are left together, or if they are separated, they would make two unique decorations on the wall of your "man cave"! Condition: very good to fine. There are bends in the blank corners of the metal and a few scuffs around the edges of the images. Learn More about condition grades
