An Original Vintage Theatrical Autographed Deluxe 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) Guy Lombardo was Canadian-American bandleader and violinist (of Italian descent) from the 1920s to the 1970s. Lombardo formed the Royal Canadians in 1924 with his brothers Carmen, Lebert, and Victor, and other musicians from his hometown. They billed themselves as creating "the sweetest music this side of Heaven". The Lombardos are believed to have sold between 100 and 300 million records during their lifetimes, many featuring the band's lead singer, Kenny Gardner. Some of his works include: Tea For Two, Star Dust and Auld Lang Syne (his orchestra became so associated with that song that he performed it on television every New Year's Eve!). He passed away in 1977 at the age of 75. Important Added Info: Note that this still has been personally autographed (signed) by Guy Lombardo! Also note that this is a deluxe still printed on double weight paper stock. Our consignor is a very longtime collector of movie paper who purchased this item years ago, and it was signed, but he doesn't know how the signature was obtained, and he (and we) believe it is likely that the autograph is authentic. Condition: good to very good. There is some uneven discoloration around the edges of the still and creases in the corners. The still was attached to an album with glue on the back of parts of the borders, and there is paper residue on the back of those areas. Learn More about condition grades
