An Original Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10 1/4" [20 x 26 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) Barbara Stanwyck (born Ruby Catherine Stevens) was a major female star from the 1920s to the 1980s. She was an immediate hit in sexy "bad girl" parts in the very early 1930s, and in 1931, she was described as "the girl with the Mona Lisa smile". Some of her movies include: Stella Dallas (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film), Double Indemnity (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film), The Lady Eve, Meet John Doe, Ball Of Fire (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film), Sorry, Wrong Number (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film), The Strange Love of Martha Ivers, and scores of others! In her later years, she took a starring role on TV's "The Big Valley", and "The Colbys" (as spin-off of "Dynasty"). She passed away in 1990 at the age of 82. Important Added Info: Note that this still is from the personal collection of Nevart Apikian, who wrote an entertainment column for the Syracuse Post Standard for nearly 50 years. It was acquired from her estate after her passing. In the case of this particular still, it comes together with material she received from the studio about this movie, which they sent to her along with the still, in hopes she would write a column about the movie! In this case, it is a cool 4-page biography of Stanwyck talking about her transition from young leading lady to playing "mothers"! We have not pictured the supplement, but it will be sent to the winner of this auction. Also note that this still measures 8" x 10 1/4" [20 x 26 cm]. Condition: very good to fine. The still is in very nice condition! Learn More about condition grades
