An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) Jeepers Creepers, the 1939 Frank McDonald singing cowboy western starring The Weaver Brothers & Elviry (Leon Weaver, Frank Weaver, and June "Elviry" Weaver), Roy Rogers, Johnny Arthur, and Billy Lee. Note that this was Roy Rogers' 10th credited role, and he had had starring roles in several westerns the year before (including Under Western Stars and The Arizona Kid), but at the time the advertising for this movie was prepared, he was still so little regarded by Republic Pictures that he was not billed on the posters or lobby cards, and in fact received 5th billing! A similar situation occurred the following year with "The Dark Command", where Rogers received very low billing. But it wasn't long before he would be Republic's biggest cowboy star, and he received prominent star billing on every movie he made! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that we have previously sold lobby cards on this movie, and on those, Roy Rogers is not billed, and he is given 5th billing in the IMDb, which led us to believe that he was not billed or pictured on the advertising for this movie (see our description above). But this poster, which we have never sold before, gives Rogers billing directly under the title, and it appears that he is pictured (although he is so youthful, that we can't be certain it is intended to be him, but it sure seems likely!), which would indicate that he WAS given prominent billing after all! If anyone knows more about this movie or this poster, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Condition: good to very good. The poster had creases, tears, and some tiny areas of paper loss in the left 2/3 of the top foldline and in much of the vertical foldline. Someone years ago put brown paper tape on the back of those areas. There was a much lesser amount of creases and tears on the other foldlines. There were pinholes, creases, smudges, tears, and areas of paper loss around the edges of the poster. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the restoration of the above defects. Learn More about condition grades
