Billy Beck (born Frank Billerbeck) was a character actor in movies and on TV from the 1950s to the 2010s. He had a very unusual life! He was born in 1920 in Philadelphia, and fought with the Allies in France in World War II. After the war, he lived in France, where he became a regular performer at Harry's Bar in Paris and was a clown in Cirque Medrano. He moved to California in 1960, and began his acting career, and also played with the San Fernando Valley Bango Band! He started drawing pictures of clowns as a child, and through his life he continued drawing, including many nude portraits. He passed away in 2011 at the age of 91.
Artist: Billy Beck
Important Added Info: Note that all of these pencil sketches have been personally autographed (signed) by the artist, Billy Beck (he signed "Billerbeck", his real name). One of them is dated 1938, and they may all be from that same time period, but it is impossible to say. If anyone knows more about these, please e-mail us and we will post it here.
