An Original Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Key Book Still (Learn More) High Wall, the 1948 Curtis Bernhardt romantic murder crime film noir ("So Tense! So Taut! It closes in on you like a high wall!"; "Suggested by a story and play by Alan R. Clark and Bradbury Foote"; an unusual story of a World War II veteran who had a brain injury during the war, which causes him blackouts, and he is found with his murdered wife, and he is convicted of killing her, but is sent to a mental hospital, and there he meets a beautiful psychiatrist who not only falls in love with him, but who decides he did not commit the murder, so she sets out to prove him innocent) starring Robert Taylor ("Tough"), Audrey Totter ("Tempting"), Herbert Marshall, Dorothy Patrick, H.B. Warner, and Warner Anderson. Note that in this movie, Robert Taylor (like other actors like Fred MacMurray and Dick Powell) reinvented himself as a noir hero! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this is a key book still that measures 8" x 10". There are many key book stills that measure 8" x 11" and have punch holes in the extra 1", but this is one of the key book stills that measures 8" x 10" exactly, and has no punch holes, and it has a stamp on the back that reads "THIS IS A KEY SET PRINT". Note that this still has a stamp on the back in the form of a diamond that has the letters "TRR". One certainly might wonder who placed this stamp there and why. The answer is that the still (and many others we are auctioning in this set of auctions) come to us from a still collector who has collected for many decades, and long ago he began stamping the back of his stills with this stamp, and "TRR" is his initials! Each of the stills is stamped lightly, and the stamp does NOT affect the front of the still. He is a VERY advanced collector, and he has consigned many wonderful stills to us!
