An Original Vintage Theatrical Style A Movie Glass Slide (measures approximately 3" x 4" [8 x 10 cm]) (Learn More) Lady and Gent, the 1932 Stephen Roberts boxing sports romantic family relationship melodrama ("Their hearts were as hard as steel"; "Love was their excuse - sacrifice was their penalty"; about a boxer who quits the ring to raise a young boy with his cocktail hostess girlfriend, and when the boy grows up, the boxer does all he can to keep the boy from boxing himself) starring George Bancroft, Wynne Gibson, Charles Starrett, James Gleason, and John Wayne (who plays a boxer who has a match with Bancroft at the beginning of the movie, in one of his early minor roles before he became a major star!) NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline). Condition: very good to fine. The theater that used this slide wrote the days the movie was playing in the play dates section at the bottom of the glass. Otherwise, the glass slide itself is in nice condition and the cardboard holder has some minor smudges (as can be seen in our super-sized images). Learn More about condition grades
