An Autographed 12" x 16" [30 x 41 cm] Cut Color REPRODUCTION (Learn More) John Huston was a director and screenwriter from the 1920s to the 1980s and began directing in the 1930s. He is the son of famed actor Walter Huston and the father of actress Anjelica Huston. Some of his films include: Asphalt Jungle (nominated for the Best Director Academy Award for this film), The Maltese Falcon, The African Queen, The Treasure of the Sierra Madre (winner of the Best Director Academy Award AND Best Screenplay Academy Award for this film), The Man Who Would be King, and Moulin Rouge (nominated for the Best Director Academy Award for this film). He also acted in several movies including: Cardinal (nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film), Chinatown, Casino Royale, and The Misfits. He passed away in 1987 at the age of 81. Important Added Info: Note that this item is a cut REPRODUCTION (it is part of the same above photo, but in color; you can see it is part of his hand that is signed over) has been personally autographed (signed) by John Huston. It was nicely matted with a REPRODUCTION still, and it is ready to be framed and displayed! Our consignor purchased this matted signature from well known autograph collector/dealer Keith Hurd of Ohio, who has collected for over 50 years and has been selling at shows, including Chiller Theatre, for decades. He has no certificate of authenticity, but we feel certain this autograph is authentic. Condition: very good to fine. The matted photo was placed into a plastic bag, which was taped shut on the back and has a label with the star's name on the front of the top left corner of the plastic bag. This can be easily removed, and then the matted display can be easily put in a standard frame, but we left it in the plastic bag so that it will be better protected while it is on its way to its new owner! Since we photographed it through the plastic bag, this somewhat obscures the image, but the entire display is in nice condition! Learn More about condition grades
