19 Original Vintage Theatrical French Movie Stills (they range from 5 1/2" x 6" to 6 1/4" x 8 1/2", and each is mounted on a 8 1/2" x 11 1/4" [22 x 29 cm] album page) (Learn More)

Le Voyage Imaginaire (literally translates to "The Imaginary Journey"), the 1926 Rene Clair French silent fantasy comedy melodrama starring Dolly Davis, Jean Borlin, Albert Prejean, Jim Gerald, and Paul Ollivier. Note that this was legendary French director Rene Clair's fourth movie (after two shorts in 1924 and one feature in 1925). The film is available to view on YouTube, and everyone agrees it is a wonderful early fantasy movie by a man who would become perhaps France's greatest director! We have never seen or heard of any first release items from this movie until we were consigned a set of 19 French production stills in 2014. It appears this movie was never released in the U.S. If anyone knows more about this movie, please e-mail us and we will post it here.

Important Added Info: Note that these "country of origin" production stills for this French movie measure from 5 1/2" x 6" to 6 1/4" x 8 1/2". They were found in an album, and each is mounted on a 8 1/2" x 11 1/4" [22 x 29 cm] album page, on the front and back of each page, except for one page, which only has a still on the front. In some cases there are two stills on one page (see our images). For unknown reasons, the person who put them in the album put the title as "Songe d'une nuit d'ete" (A Midsummer Night's Dream), but they were completely mistaken, because they are actually from Le Voyage Imaginaire (obviously, the person was simply guessing, in those pre-Internet days). We had never seen or heard of any first release items from this movie until we were consigned this set of 19 French production stills, which includes many wonderful images!

Condition: very good. The stills are generally in excellent condition, with very minor wear. They are glued to the front and back of album pages (see above), but the album pages are thick, and they surely can be removed from the pages by a professional or talented amateur (although the new owner might choose to leave them as they are).
