Date Sold 5/11/2021Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Unfolded Special Poster (measures 25" x 38" [64 x 97 cm]) (Learn More) The Lone Ranger is a fictional masked hero created by Jack Wrather in 1933 for a radio show in Detroit. The Lone Ranger was a former Texas Ranger who fought outlaws in the American Old West with his Native American friend, Tonto, and his trusty horse Silver. The radio show was very popular and the character was soon featured in books, comics, TV shows, and several movies (including two serials from 1938 and 1939). The best known incarnation of this character was in the 1949-1957 TV series starring Clayton Moore and Jay Silverheels. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: good to very good. The poster was never folded. It has many pieces of clear tape on back of the edges (likely this poster was framed at one time) and the tape slightly bleeds through to the front (see our image). There are pinholes in the blank corners and there are two pinholes in the center of the horse's hoofs at middle. Fortunately the faint tape staining mostly only affects blank paper, and after linenbacking it would look great (although certainly many collectors would be more than happy to display this cool poster as is!).
