An Original 1960 Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Polish Movie Poster (measures 23" x 33") (Learn More) La Sfida (released in the U.S. as "The Challenge"), the 1958 Francesco Rosi Italian/Spanish romantic gang crime melodrama (about an ambitious young Italian man from the slums who makes money selling cigarettes, and then moves on to bigger crimes, but then he meets a beautiful woman, and they get married, and he finds that he is no longer in control of his own future!) starring Rosanna Schiaffino, Jose Suarez, Nino Vingelli, Decimo Cristiani, and Jose Jaspe NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: J. Cherka Important Added Info: This Polish poster measures 23" x 33" and is linenbacked. Condition: very good. This poster was linenbacked, and one of the following is true: either the poster had very minor defects, and was well backed, OR it had more significant defects, but they were extremely well restored, OR it had some minor defects that were not completely restored, and are somewhat noticeable. You can tell which of the above is the case for this particular poster by reading our "pre-restoration" description and also by looking at our "super-sized" image of the actual poster (we are the only major auction company we know of that gives accurate detailed pre-restoration information about linenbacked posters to our bidders, but we wish everyone did!). The poster had rough creases and small areas of paper loss across both foldlines and some small border defects.
