An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Window Card Movie Poster (WC; measures 14" x 22" [36 x 56 cm]) (Learn More) Tol'able David, the 1930 John G. Blystone romantic melodrama ("Joseph Hergesheimer's Immortal Classic"; "Treatment, Dialogue & Continuity by Benjamin Glazer"; about a very easy going fellow in a rural community, but when his brother turns over his mailman job to him, he comes in contact with a really bad set of brothers, who take joy in tormenting him) starring Richard Cromwell ("The Screen's Latest Sensation"; in the title role as David Kinemon), Noah Beery Sr., Joan Peers, George Duryea, and Henry B. Walthall. Note that this was a short story written by Joseph Hergesheimer, which was adapted into a film in 1921 right after it was written, and then it was remade in 1930 as a sound movie. It seems that Kenny Rogers borrowed this story for his hit song "Coward of the County"! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Spicker Important Added Info: Note that this window card was never folded. Often window cards would be folded across the middle, because that would make them 11" x 14", and they could then be sent with standard folded posters. Most collectors put an added value on a window card that has never been folded. Condition: fair to good. There are irregular tears in the upper left that extend through the word "DAVID" and someone put tape on the back. The card was lightly partially folded across the middle at one time.
