An Original 1933 (from the first release of this movie in Spain) Vintage Theatrical Folded Spanish Movie Poster (measures 27 1/2" x 39 1/4" [70 x 100 cm]) (Learn More) Blonde Crazy, the 1931 Roy Del Ruth pre-Code romantic con man crime comedy ("Story by Kubec Glasmon and John Bright"; about a part time bellhop who schemes of hitting it big through various cons, and he falls for a pretty chambermaid, and together they fleece old Guy Kibbee, and go to the big city, where they tangle with a con man who knows more than they do!) starring James Cagney, Joan Blondell, Noel Francis, Ray Milland (24 years old, and in his third year of appearing in movies, but almost all of his previous roles were either uncredited or extremely minor, and yet he is billed on the posters!), Louis Calhern, Mae Clarke, Guy Kibbee, and Polly Walters. Note that it was movies like this that caused the Production Code to be put into place! For examples, in one scene, Joan Blondell is clearly naked in a bathtub, and Guy Kibbee walks in on her and she says she's taking a bath, and he says "move over!" NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this is an extremely rare poster. We have never auctioned one in all our years of auctioning! Not only that, but first release posters from this movie have always been exceptionally rare. We sold two U.S. window cards and no other U.S. posters in all our years of auctioning. This is one of six incredibly rare Spanish posters from the very early to mid 1930s. If you have collected for any length of time, you surely know that pre-war Spanish posters are among the most rare posters there are, and that the ones from the early 1930s, like U.S. ones, are even more rare than the ones from the later 1930s. So where did these six come from? Our consignor purchased them on a trip to Spain in the 1960s, and has held them all these years since! This is a very rare opportunity to purchase one of these six Spanish posters, with great images! Note also that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: very good. The poster has slight darkening in part of the blank borders and very minor fold wear. After a simple linenbacking, the poster will display wonderfully! Learn More about condition grades
