An Original Vintage Theatrical Promotional Paper Dress (measures 21" x 36") (Learn More)

Elizabeth Taylor was one of the most legendary actresses of all time! She started as a child actress in the 1940s, became a teen actress in the 1950s, and became a major star from the 1960s to the 1990s. Some of her movies include: Who's Afraid Of Virginia Woolf? (winner of the Best Actress Academy Award for this film), North and South, Cat On A Hot Tin Roof (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film), A Place in the Sun, Giant, Jane Eyre, Father of the Bride, National Velvet, Suddenly, Last Summer (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film), Raintree County (nominated for the Best Actress Academy Award for this film), Butterfield 8 (winner of the Best Actress Academy Award for this film), and the "Lassie" films. Some consider her the most beautiful brunette actress of all time! She passed away in 2011 at the age of 79.

Important Added Info: Note that this special promotional paper dress was created in 1968 by Universal Studios. It was intended to be sent to theaters that showed Universal movies at that time (I guess they wanted the recipients to wear the dress to some special occasion, thus being a human advertising billboard! This particular dress was never sent and was never used. It comes directly from a man who worked at Universal Studios at that time. On 12/12/2001 a woman appeared on the Antique Roadshow television show with a similar dress. The experts on the show told her it was worth $3,000-5,000! The dress offered here, which is in completely unused condition, has NO reserve whatsoever!

Condition: fine. the dress is completely unused. It was folded immediately after it was created (for mailing purposes), and is in wonderful unused condition! The colors are extremely bright, as it was never displayed.
