The Black Scorpion, the 1957 Edward Ludwig Mexico City giant scorpion science fiction (sci-fi) horror thriller ("We defy you not to get a genuine case of the horrors when you see 'The Black Scorpion'"; "Black -- so you can't see him until he's ready to get you! Bloodless -- That's why he wants yours!"; "Uncut! Shown exactly as filmed!"; "Don't be ashamed to scream! It helps relieve the tension!"; "We urge you not to panic or bolt from your seats!"; "Every horror you've seen on the screen grows pale beside the horror of 'The Black Scorpion'"; "He'll get you - scared stiff!"; "NOTE: The management reserves the right to put up the lights any time the audience becomes too emotionally disturbed!"; "Shown Uncut! Every terror exactly as filmed"; "Don't be afraid to scream! It helps relieve the tension!"; special effects by Willis O'Brien in his last credited film) starring Richard Denning, Mara Corday, Carlos Rivas, Mario Navarro, and Carlos Muzquiz. Note that (apparently to save money!) the movie is set in Mexico City, which allowed the producers to hire an almost completely Mexican cast, no doubt at far lower salaries than that of their Hollywood counterparts!

What IS linenbacking? Learn More

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster had tiny paper loss at some crossfolds and minor wear on the foldlines. It had some discoloration in the top of the right blank border and some scuffs scattered in the solid black colored areas. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well!
