An Original Vintage Magazine (measures 8 1/2" x 11 1/4" [22 x 29 cm]) (Learn More) Playboy, the men's adult entertainment magazine founded in 1953 by Hugh Hefner & associates featuring many wonderful articles and short stories by notable authors and large pin-up images of beautiful sexy women, obviously! Playboy has since expanded into television, video, and merchandising. In recent years, it experimented with dropping all nudity from its pages, but it recently announced that they would resume doing so. Hugh Hefner passed away in 2017 at the age of 91. Important Added Info: Note that Harvey Kurtzman created Mad Magazine for Bill Gaines when it was still a comic book, but in 1957, Kurtzman and Gaines had a major falling out, resulting in Kurtzman leaving! Kurtzman was hired by Hugh Hefner to create a new magazine, like Mad but aimed at adults with sexy content, and it was called "Trump", and this issue of Playboy had an 8-page massively illustrated article on Kurtzman so that Playboy's readers would know who he was, and hopefully buy Trump magazine. But Trump only lasted two issues, although Kurtzman then created the comic strip "Little Annie Fanny" for Playboy, which ran in the magazine for decades! Also note that we have provided a picture of the front cover of the magazine, and pictures of interior two-page spreads (including the table of contents page if there is one; but we didn't make much effort to find the best ones!). These images should greatly help you judge the overall condition of the magazine, and the contents page lets you know exactly what articles and stories are contained in this particular issue. Please know that these magazines are sealed in bags and are ready for shipping, and we cannot answer any questions about them or look through them for you, so please bid (or do not bid) based on the images we have provided. Condition: good to very good. Note that we have attempted to check to see if the magazine is complete and uncut, and we believe that it is. However, there is a slight possibility that we might have missed a small cut or a page that was neatly removed, and if that happens, you can return the magazine. We have solely provided an overall description of the condition of the magazine, but you can also refer to our super-sized images. Please bid (or not bid) based on that overall grade and by viewing the super-sized images. Learn More about condition grades
