He is best known as the creator of TV's "The Simpsons" and "Futurama", but earlier he had a comic strip entitled "Life in Hell". Artist: Matt Groening Important Added Info: This art print has been personally autographed (signed) by Matt Groening! The strip itself appeared in 1987, and we don't know how this blow-up of the strip into an art print was sold or distributed, but this one has been lightly glued to a board that has foamcore behind it (it could certainly be removed, but it is doing fine as it is!). It was signed by the artist in the lower right on October 15, 1987, and he added an illustration to the right of his signature (see our image). Note that this signed art print was consigned to us from the estate of Bob DePietro, who was a very longtime collector/dealer of movie memorabilia. He also worked in the movie business, and had close contact with many celebrities, and acquired many signed items in person. He is no longer with us to tell us how this signed item was acquired, and there is no certificate of authenticity, but we feel certain it is authentic. Note that this display must be sent it in a large flat package that measures approximately 25" x 27". Please bear that extra shipping cost in mind BEFORE placing a bid on this item!
