Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Half-Sheet (measures 22x28) (Learn More)

Elinor Glyn's The Great Moment, the 1921 Sam Wood silent romantic love triangle melodrama (based on a story by Elinor Glyn; about the daughter of an English Lord who arranges for her to marry her cousin, who she does not love; before the marriage, he takes her to the U.S. and she meets an engineer who rescues her, and her father misunderstands and forces them to marry; but the engineer leaves her because he thinks she doesn't love him, and she starts to marry someone else instead, but she runs into the engineer and they realize they do love each other) starring Gloria Swanson, Alec B. Francis, Milton Sills, Frank Butler, and Raymond Brathwayt. Note that this is a "lost" film, which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist.

If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that this half-sheet came from a collection found in a closed-down movie theater. All of the half-sheets were unfolded, and many have the theater name and play-dates written somewhere on the poster in the blank background (much as a window card has this information), but otherwise they are in surprisingly good condition (some have staining or tears which is always noted on each auction). We have sold ten of these half-sheets in previous weeks, and this week we sell the last of the half-sheets from this find!

Condition: very good. There is a 1/2" tear in the center of the right blank border. There is a piece off the bottom left corner. There is discoloration in the left and in the top blank borders. Note that the defects (other than the writing) are relatively minor
