An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) College Holiday, the 1936 Frank Tuttle college university school comedy (about a woman who runs a summer resort, and she invites very intelligent and physically gifted college students of both sexes to stay there, hoping that they will pair off and that their wonderful genes will produce "perfect" children; this story of a framework that allows the top comics in the movie to perform long comic routines; this "science" of making perfect children was called "Eugenics", and it was popular in the middle 1930s, but Adolf Hitler's adopting of this caused it to dramatically fall out of favor, and afterwards, it was pretty much a taboo subject!) starring Jack Benny, George Burns, Gracie Allen (Burns & Allen), Mary Boland, Martha Raye, Marsha Hunt, Eleanore Whitney, Johnny Downs, and Leif Erickson (in one of his early minor roles) NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had a stamp on the back of the upper left of the image that slightly bled through to the front in the top of Benny's forehead. It also had tiny tears and tiny bits of paper loss on small parts of some foldlines and pinholes and some paper loss in the blank borders. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects.
