An Original 1939 Vintage Theatrical Movie Title Lobby Card (LC TC; measures 10 3/4" x 13 1/2" [27 x 34 cm]) (Learn More)

The Gaunt Stranger (released in the U.S. in 1939 as "The Phantom Strikes"), the 1938 Walter Forde English mystery crime thriller ("Edgar Wallace's greatest comedy thriller!"; "Edgar Wallace's greatest thriller"; "Adapted from Edgar Wallace's 'The Ringer'"; the now familiar story of an unknown villain who announces he is going to kill someone and that no one can stop him, and a police inspector and his surgeon assistant must figure out who it is, but everyone is a suspect) starring Sonnie Hale (billed as "Sonny Hale"), Wilfrid Lawson, Louise Henry, Alexander Knox, and Patricia Roc. Note that this was the fourth time this movie had been remade, and it would be remade several times later!
