An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Joel and Ethan Coen's Blood Simple, the 1985 Coen Brothers (Joel Coen & Ethan Coen; in their directorial debut!) romantic crime murder film noir ("Breaking up is hard to do."; "The thriller lives!"; "Murder's hard the first time. After that it's 'Blood Simple'") starring John Getz, Frances McDormand (in her very first movie role!), Dan Hedaya, Samm-Art Williams, and M. Emmet Walsh. Note that this film was shown at several film festivals in 1984, but did not receive a general release until 1985! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this is a surprisingly rare poster (there are two versions of it, one with white borders and one with no white borders, but both are very rare). We have only auctioned six examples of the two styles combined in all our years of auctioning, and two of them were in much lesser condition. Perhaps the rarity of this poster is because the movie got great reviews, and the studio immediately created a "reviews" style one-sheet, and it may be that they quit using this poster so that theatergoers could read the great reviews instead! Condition: good to very good. The poster was never folded. There are pinholes in the corners and paper loss in the bottom left blank corner, caused by rough removal of the pins.
