(Learn More) The Accidental Tourist, the 1988 Lawrence Kasdan romantic melodrama ("Macon Leary was set in his ways. The way he lived, thought and worked. He imagined it would always be like that. Until an unusual woman showed him the way it could be."; nominated for the Best Picture Academy Award; produced by John Malkovich; based on the book by Ann Tyler) starring William Hurt (an extremely fine actor who remained practically catatonic throughout the movie!), Kathleen Turner, Geena Davis (nominated for the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for this film), Ed Begley Jr., and Bill Pullman NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this script is the revised final draft from October 30, 1987 and the screenplay was written by Lawrence Kasdan. It is in a three ring binder, with the cover of the script, but not the back cover. In the three ring binder, in addition to the script, are also lots of blue revision pages from 12/14/87 (they were not collated into the script) and also a staff and crew list from 12/28/87. Separate from the three ring binder is a second example of the staff and crew list, and also a page with a letter from the production office to "all concerned". There is a postcard of the State of Liberty that was not used in the pocket of the binder. There is a 72-page shooting schedule that is bound with a brad and has a cover letter to "Dan" on it, and the Dan they are referring to is Dan Ondrejko, who was the greensman for this movie, and this was his personal script. Mr. Ondrejko also saved a page with many notes on it written in pencil and purple pen, giving names, some phone numbers, and flight schedules for people associated with the movie! Condition: very good. The supplemental shooting schedule described above has stains on the bottom of the cover page, but everything else is in pretty nice condition.
