Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Half-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 22" x 28") (Learn More) Son of Paleface, the 1952 Frank Tashlin cowboy western crime screwball comedy ("Written by Robert L. Welch and Joseph Quillan") starring Bob Hope, Jane Russell, Roy Rogers, Trigger (Roy Rogers' horse), Bill Williams, and Lloyd Corrigan. Note that this was sort of a sequel to 1948's "The Paleface". That movie, starring Bob Hope and Jane Russell, but not Roy Rogers, had been written by Frank Tashlin, and he was unhappy with the result. So he wrote this movie, which stars the "son" of the star of the first movie (again played by Hope), but this time, Tashlin was able to direct it himself, and one presumes he was much happier with the result! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: very good. Note that this poster has never been folded! Most half-sheet posters were folded twice (once horizontally and once vertically) right off of the printing press. It is very difficult to find an unfolded copy of most half-sheets, especially from before 1970! very small remnants of a paper snipe in the lower left extending somewhat into the "O" in "SON"; a few 1" and smaller tears around the edges of the poster (mostly in the middle right blank border); minor creases and smudges throughout the poster (more so around the edges); small embossed stamp in the lower right blank border Learn More about condition grades
