An Original Vintage Theatrical 7 3/4" x 9 1/2" [20 x 24 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) Allan Jones was an actor and singer from the 1930s to the 1970s. Some of his best remembered movies include: A Night at the Opera, A Day at the Races, and Show Boat. He was married to actress Irene Hervey and together their son Jack Jones became a very successful singer on TV. Note that there is a wonderful video on YouTube of Allan Jones and his son Jack Jones performing an updated version of the duet, "I Remember It Well", and it is really worth watching! He passed away in 1992 at the age of 84. Important Added Info: Note that this still has "COMING AND GOING" on the back of the top of it, so there is obviously a second still showing him from the front (but this still qualifies as perhaps the wackiest still we have ever seen!). Also note that this still measures 7 3/4" x 9 1/2" [20 x 24 cm], but it has not been trimmed. Note that this still has a stamp on the back that says "DUPLICATE". We can't say for certain what this stamp means, but the still comes from the estate of agent Paul Kohner, and it may have been that these "duplicate" stills were delivered to him on the stars he represented (it is quite likely that the still is from the time the movie came out). Since all stills are "duplicated" (there is no original), it is unclear what this meant, or why this still is stamped this way and not others. Please do not bid on this still if this stamp would bother you! Condition: very good to fine. Learn More about condition grades
