Artist: Guy Gerard Noel Important Added Info: Note that we once had an unusual French teaser poster (which was mostly text), but otherwise, we have never had even one first release French poster from this Hammer horror movie, until we were consigned this wonderful poster! What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. The poster had small paper loss at the top crossfold and tiny paper loss at the other two crossfolds. It had tears and tiny paper loss to the left and right of the top quarter of the vertical fold and there were tears and tiny paper loss in the mummy's leg by the middle crossfold. There were tears and areas of paper loss scattered over the title area, and there may have been a snipe there at one time. There are some other tears and tiny areas of paper loss scattered in parts of the poster and the blank borders were trimmed off. Overall, the poster was in fair to good condition prior to linenbacking. A talented restorer did a wonderful job of restoring and backing this poster (during which time they replaced the borders), because not only does it display really well, but it also does not look "heavily restored", and it will display wonderfully on the new owner's wall!
