Murnau silent romantic love triangle crime melodrama ("The outstanding achievement of the motion picture art"; "Scenario by Carl Mayer"; winner of the Best Picture Academy Award) starring George O'Brien, Janet Gaynor (winner of the Best Actress Academy Award for this film), Margaret Livingston, Bodil Rosing, and J. Farrell MacDonald. Note that at the very first Oscar ceremony, this movie was awarded the Oscar for "Best Picture, Unique and Artistic Production". Also, Janet Gaynor won that first Best Actress Academy Award (it was for this movie and two others she made that year). NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: What a wonderful candid still this is. It shows the three top stars holding progressively bigger megaphones, and trying to get the director's attention! We have never auctioned this still before, and it has printing on the back, guaranteeing that it is surely from the first release of this classic movie. Also note that someone wrote "Constance Bennett" on the back of the still, but they were guessing, and they were definitely wrong! Condition: good to very good. There are diagonal creases and staining in the bottom right corner, but the still is otherwise in pretty nice condition! Learn More about condition grades
