An Original Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10" Movie Still (Learn More) Whoopee!, the 1930 Thornton Freeland romantic love triangle musical comedy ("A cyclonic comedy extravaganza!"; "From the musical comedy by William Anthony McGuire"; "Music by Walter Donaldson"; "Lyrics by Gus Kahn"; "All Technicolor"; produced by Florenz Ziegfeld and Samuel Goldwyn; about a girl who is engaged to a cowboy sheriff, but she secretly loves a half-breed Indian; she runs off with a hapless man, who thinks he is just giving her a ride, but she left her fiance a note that she eloped with the hapless man, and a wacky chase ensues!) starring Eddie Cantor, Ethel Shutta (a Broadway stage actress who appeared in this one movie, and then not again for 28 years!), Paul Gregory, Eleanor Hunt, Jack Rutherford, Dorothy Knapp, and Jane Keithley NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that the still shows a great candid image of a very scantily clad showgirl from this movie wearing what appears to be a cowboy hat, cowboy boots, a gun belt, fur shorts, and nothing else (something tells us that no cowgirl ever wore an outfit like this!). The still does not identify the showgirl, and she likely had a limited career in Hollywood. If anyone knows more about her, or what happened to her, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Obviously, it was excesses like this in sexy pre-Code movies that caused the crack down that led to censorship in movies in the 1930s! Condition: very good to fine. There is tiny paper loss in the top left blank corner and a crease in the top right blank corner, but otherwise, the still is in quite nice condition! Learn More about condition grades
