If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that movie paper from this film is incredibly rare. We have never auctioned even a single movie paper item from this movie until we were consigned this poster (which is a "country of origin" poster for this German movie!). The poster does not mention director Hans Behrendt, who was Jewish and would be killed in Auschwitz in 1942. It was printed with a credit for "Musik von Robert Stolz", but that was covered with a snipe because Stolz (who had helped Jewish and political refugees escape Germany to Austria) fled to Zurich when the Nazi's annexed Austria in 1938 (he eventually made it to America and returned to Vienna after the war). There are very few German movie posters from during World War II in existence (because of the massive paper shortages in Germany during World War II), and most of those few are in museums. It is likely that German posters from during the Nazi era are even more rare than those from before that era, because most of those that survived the war would have been destroyed right after the war! Condition: good to very good. This 1938 poster has survived in about as good condition as one could hope but there is a snipe as mentioned above. Learn More about condition grades
