Kenton Universal monster horror thriller sequel ("New Thrills as the monster stalks again!"; "Original Story, Eric Taylor"; the fourth Universal Frankenstein movie after the three 1930s classics; in this entry, Bela Lugosi as Ygor resurrects the Frankenstein monster and takes him to the doctor's son and they must find a new brain!) starring Cedric Hardwicke (billed as "Sir Cedric Hardwicke"; as Dr. Ludwig Frankenstein), Ralph Bellamy, Lionel Atwill (as Doctor Bohmer), Bela Lugosi (as Ygor), Evelyn Ankers (as Elsa Frankenstein), Lon Chaney Jr. (as the Frankenstein monster), Holmes Herbert, and Janet Ann Gallow NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Wood Important Added Info: Note that this two-page English ad was removed from an issue of an English exhibitor magazine (likely Kinematograph Weekly) and there are ads on the back of both of the pages. From the 1920s on, studios would create elaborate trade ads, often in full color, and often using the finest artists of the day. They would run these ads in their studio yearbooks and exhibitor magazines, and they would also print those trade ads separately and mail them individually to theater owners, trying to get them to book that specific movie. Sometimes those books and magazines are separated and the ads, which now greatly resemble the individually printed trade ads, are sold individually. It can be framed and displayed (but many trade ads have different images on each side, so one must choose which side to display if it is framed!). Condition: good to very good. Note that this two-page English ad was removed from an issue of an English exhibitor magazine (likely Kinematograph Weekly) and there are ads on the back of both of the pages, but those ads on the back do not affect the cool Ghost of Frankenstein ad. There are vertical folds down the left 3" of the left page, and the right 3" of the right page, and some creases and scuffs scattered throughout the image. Learn More about condition grades
