An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Half-Sheet Movie Poster (1/2sh; measures 22" x 28" [56 x 71 cm]) (Learn More)

Dollar Down, the 1925 Tod Browning silent romantic family relationship business airplane aviation inventor melodrama ("A vivid drama of modern life"; "And a supporting cast including"; intertwined stories of a man whose successful company is jeopardized by his wife and daughter's overspending and the daughter's boyfriend who is an inventor of a new kind of airplane; the daughter pawns a ring that is not yet paid for and it might cause her father's ruin, but she uses her fiancee's new airplane to fix things, and everything works out well in the end!) starring Ruth Roland, Henry B. Walthall, Mayme Kelso, Claire McDowell, Earl Schenck, Lloyd Whitlock, Roscoe Karns, and Otis Harlan. Note that director Tod Browning is a legendary director of silent and early silent horror sci-fi classics, many with Lon Chaney. Early on in his career he directed more standard drama and adventure movies, but once he had a major success with The Unholy Three in 1925, he primarily made solely horror movies. This movie was made after The Unholy Three, but is one of Browning's final non-horror movies!

Important Added Info: Note that movie paper from this film is incredibly rare. We have never auctioned even a single movie paper item from this movie until we were consigned this half-sheet!

Condition: very good. The poster was never folded. It has some pinholes, smudges, stains and faint tape stains around the edges with small paper loss in the top blank border and a 1 1/2" tear in the left of the bottom border. Someone put a few pieces of tape on the back of the borders but did not other restoration, and the image area of the poster is in nice condition, and the poster is not at all fragile, which is a big plus!
