John Wayne: Le Celebre Cow-boy; (literally translates to "John Wayne: The Famous Cowboy"), the circa late 1940s Belgian poster featuring art of John Wayne in a cowboy hat. It measures the size seen in Belgian posters from during World War II and in the years immediately after, and it is usually found printed on the back of a map or poster, as other Belgian posters from the 1940s are, so it seems extremely likely it is from that time. If anyone knows more about this poster, please e-mail us and we will post it here.

Important Added Info: Note that this poster was printed on the back of an old poster! During World War II in Belgium, there was a massive paper shortage, and so they used whatever paper they could find to print the movie posters, and in many cases they used old posters and maps, and printed the movie posters on the reverse. They often also made the posters smaller, so they could get more posters printed. This practice continued for a couple of years after World War II. Since these posters are original, and since all such posters are printed on the back of maps or other posters, this is not considered a defect by almost all collectors.

Condition: very good. There is a small amount of tattering and discoloration around the edges of the poster and the printing on the back of the poster slightly bleeds through to the front. The poster is otherwise in pretty nice condition and it displays well.
