An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More)

The Great Lover, the 1931 Harry Beaumont English/Italian/German romantic love triangle opera singer melodrama ("Picture based on the play produced by Cohan and Harris"; "Written by Leo Ditrichstein and Frederick and Fannie Hatton"; about a male opera star who takes a young woman as his protege in order to take advantage of her, but he finds that he is falling in love with her instead) starring Adolphe Menjou, Irene Dunne, Ernest Torrence, Neil Hamilton, and Olga Baclanova (billed as "Baclanova"). Note that this movie was based on a stage play that was produced by George M. Cohan and Sam Harris!

Important Added Info: Note that ANY movie paper items from this movie are incredibly rare. We have only previously auctioned a Belgian poster, a glass slide, and a few stills from this movie (and NO other movie paper) until we received two lobby cards (which we are auctioning in two separate auctions)! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has.

Condition: fair to good. The entire card has darkened somewhat. It has tack holes, smudges, a few tears, and stains around the edges. There is a line of staining in the image in the left of Menjou's clothes and slightly in his face, with a few stains in the left background area. Please look closely at our images of the front and back of this card before bidding. Note that this card is completely unrestored and there is not a single piece of tape on either the front or back!
