An Original Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) Mary Miles Minter was a silent cinema juvenile star from the 1910s and 1920s. Several of her films and stage plays were remade by Shirley Temple, including "Dimples" and "The Littlest Rebel". Some of her movies include: The Mate of the Sally Ann, Rosemary Climbs the Heights (in the title role as Rosemary), Her Willing Way, and The Trail of the Lonesome Pine. Sadly, Minter's career fell apart after William Desmond Taylor's death, due to rumors of a romantic affair between her and Taylor! She passed away in 1984 at the age of 82. Important Added Info: Note that there are white areas in the corners that look like they COULD be a defect of some sort, but they are NOT. They exist on stills from silent films that have this sort of black border around the edges. It appears that stills of this sort were made by actually blowing up a frame of film, and perhaps those white areas are some sort of sprocket holes. In any event, they are contained within the printing and are not any sort of defect! Condition: good to very good. There are creases and paper loss in the bottom left corner.
