An Original Vintage Theatrical Deluxe 10 3/4" x 13 1/2" [27 x 34 cm] Movie Still (Learn More)

A Slight Case of Murder, the 1938 Lloyd Bacon mob alcohol liquor bootlegging organized crime comedy thriller (based on the play by Damon Runyon) ("Edward G. Robinson in Damon Runyon's blazing story of the Mobster who murdered and laughed!") starring Edward G. Robinson, Jane Bryan, Margaret Hamilton, Allen Jenkins, Willard Parker, Ruth Donnelly, Edward Brophy, Harold Huber, Bobby Jordan, Paul Harvey, and George E. Stone

Important Added Info: Note that this wonderful candid still shows a great Warner Bros. studio portrait by Bert Longworth of Edward G. Robinson in a tuxedo holding an adorable cat!

Note that this still measures 10 3/4" x 13 1/2" [27 x 34 cm], but it has not been trimmed. Also note that this is a deluxe still printed on double weight paper stock.

Note that we are currently auctioning over 100 ultra rare 11x14 stills (some measure slightly smaller) that are mostly from the 1930s, all in separate auctions! The highlight of these is the 58 of them that were consigned to us by a collector who acquired them many years ago, and they feature wonderful images of many of the greatest 1930s Hollywood stars, including James Cagney, Humphrey Bogart, Gary Cooper, Edward G. Robinson, and many others! These are many times more rare than 8x10 stills, and are very rarely offered for sale or at auction, and many of these may be "one of a kind"! This is a very rare opportunity to acquire one or many of these extreme rarities!

Condition: good. There are many faint creases and scuffs marks scattered throughout the still, but very fortunately, they are almost all only noticeable when the still is tilted to the light. There is surface paper loss in the bottom corners and a tiny bit near the center of the bottom border. Despite the above defects, this great still will display really well on the new owner's wall!
