Artist: Adolph Treidler Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned two examples of this 1918 9 1/2" x 14 1/2" war poster (which was printed as a supplement to "The North American", the Philadelphia Sunday newspaper, on September 22, 1918, with the caption "This poster won the first prize in the poster competition under the auspices of the American Institute of Graphic Arts"), and only one in the last 8 years! We are currently auctioning the 21x28 poster from 1917 in a separate auction What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster was never folded. It had some faint vertical scuff lines in the center, but was otherwise in pretty nice condition prior to linenbacking.
