Note that this movie reunited Anne Francis and Walter Pidgeon from the movie they had made the same year, Forbidden Planet, where they played father and daughter! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this lobby card has been personally autographed (signed) by Anne Francis! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Note that this signed lobby card (and 63 others) comes from the collection of the late Bob Colman, owner of the Hollywood Poster Exchange store in Los Angeles for decades. What made this store so wonderful for collectors was that Mr. Colman sold the legendary "Cozy Theatre" collection, which he purchased (with a partner) in 1968, and it took over 30 years for him to sell the contents of that single collection, and many of the items contained in it were stamped with "Cozy Theatre" on the back, so they are easily identifiable today. But Mr. Colman was also well known for having Hollywood celebrities shop at his store, where they would often look to purchase items from movies they had appeared in. When a celebrity would come in, Mr. Colman would locate a lobby card from his inventory and ask the celebrity to sign it. Sometimes they would personalize it to him, sometimes to his wife, Janet, and sometimes they would simply sign their name. This lobby card comes from the estate of Bob Colman and was signed by the celebrity in his presence. We do not have a certificate of authenticity, but we are certain the autograph is genuine (and the lobby card has great provenance)! As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction. On non-signed items, we give a "lifetime guarantee" on everything we auction, but on signed items, we give the above modified guarantee of 30 days after the auction closes. Condition: very good. There are a few tiny pinholes in each blank corner and slight darkening in the extreme outer edges of the left and right blank borders. Otherwise, the card is in nice condition. Note that this lobby card is completely unrestored and there is not a single piece of tape on either the front or back! Learn More about condition grades
