An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Italian Movie Poster (measures 19 1/2" x 27 1/2" [50 x 70 cm]) (Learn More)

Gelosia (released in English-speaking countries as "Jealousy"), the 1942 (released in the U.S. in 1948) Ferdinando Maria Poggioli Italian romantic melodrama (based on the novel by Luigi Capuana) starring Luisa Ferida, Roldano Lupi, Elena Zareschi, Wanda Capodaglio, Ruggero Ruggeri, and Elvira Betrone. Note that Ferida was executed in 1945 at the hands of Italian partisans. She and her partner Osvaldo Valenti (an Italian director linked with Fascist officials for years and who joined the Italian Social Republic) were both shot immediately in the street, without any proper trial, and at the time of her death, Ferida was pregnant with Valenti's child.
Artist: Luigi Martinati
Important Added Info: Note that this is a "country of origin" poster for this Italian movie! Also note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube.

Condition: fair to good. There are large tears in the lower right and center portions of the poster (one small area is repaired with tape from the back.) Certainly the poster could be restored and linenbacked and it would look great, but please bear in mind its defects and cost of restoration before placing a bid.
