An Original Vintage Theatrical Paperbacked Insert Movie Poster (measures 14" x 36") (Learn More)

Ladies Love Brutes, the 1930 Rowland V. Lee rags-to-riches romantic melodrama ("From the play 'Pardon My Glove' by Zoe Akins"; about a hard working building contractor who comes into a lot of money, and who tries to enter high society and win the love of beautiful divorcee Mary Astor) starring George Bancroft, Mary Astor, Fredric March, Margaret Quimby, and Stanley Fields

Important Added Info: Note that this poster has been paperbacked. What is paperbacking? This means the poster was backed onto a paper backing (acid-free). It is a similar process to linenbacking, except that most collectors use linenbacking for one-sheets and paperbacking for half-sheets, inserts, window cards, and lobby cards. Note that in the case of this particular poster, the restorer chose to leave a excess paper as a border around all four sides, and that the backing material is somewhat heavier than that which is often used on inserts (but the poster displays quite nicely), and would be even easier to frame, thanks to the excess mat. Also note that the poster cannot be rolled, and will have to be shipped in a large flat package, and FOR THIS ITEM ONLY, the buyer of the item will have to pay the actual cost of shipping, even if they live in the U.S. (regardless of what is written in the shipping costs column of this item). PLEASE BEAR THIS ADDED EXPENSIVE IN MIND BEFORE YOU PLACE A BID ON THIS ITEM!

Condition: very good. The poster was folded across the middle and there were rough creases along the folds. There were creases in the middle left of the poster just above that foldline. The top blank border was trimmed off and there were some creases, smudges, and small tears around the edges of the poster. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to paperbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but the restorer simply put some blank white paper in place of the missing top blank border (likely rightfully assuming that the blank border will not show when the poster is framed).
