Note that Robert Blake had gotten his start in acting as "Mickey" in "Our Gang" movies in 1939. His character was named "Mickey" because his real name was Mickey Gubitosi. In 1942, he had an uncredited role in "Kid Glove Killer", and later in 1942, he was given the starring role in this movie "Mokey", where he was billed as Bobby Blake, which was the very first time he was billed under this name, and his first starring role in a movie!
