An Unfolded French Travel Poster (measures 29 1/2" x 41" [75 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Le Vieux Metz (literally translates to "Old Metz"), the 1920s French train railway railroad travel poster encouraging people to use the Chemin de fer d'Alsace et de Lorraine railways to visit the city of Metz in France, and featuring Marks artwork of the riverside area of the city with the Metz Cathedral (Cathedral of Saint Stephen) in the background. Note that Chemin de fer d'Alsace et de Lorraine merged with other railways in 1938 to form SNCF (Societe Nationale des Chemins de fer Francais - the French National Railway). Artist: F. Marks Important Added Info: Note that we have never before auctioned this French travel poster! Condition: very good to fine. The poster was never folded. It has a 1 1/2" crease in the lower right border, with tiny separation at the image end of that crease. It has a tiny tear in the middle of the right blank border that was repaired with a tiny piece of tape from the back. Other than the above, the poster is in really nice condition!
