eMoviePoster.comAuction History Result 1h243 TRAILIN' WEST 1/2sh 1936 western cowboy art of Dick Foran & sexiest Paula Stone, ultra-rare! Date Sold 11/10/2019Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Theatrical Half-Sheet Movie Poster (1/2sh; measures 20 1/4" x 25 3/4" [51 x 65 cm]) (Learn More) Trailin' West, the 1936 Noel M. Smith Civil War era singing cowboy western melodrama (about a U.S. government agent who is sent by President Lincoln to stop outlaws who have taken over a town and are hurting the war effort, but he is ambushed and loses his papers, and he is captured and tried as a spy, but there is a second secret agent who is working undercover, but must save him) starring Dick Foran ("The Singing Cowboy"), Paula Stone, William 'Wild Bill' Elliott (billed as "Gordon Elliot"), Addison Richards, Robert Barrat (as Abraham Lincoln), and Joseph Crehan. Note that it may seem really odd that they were able to work songs into this movie, but Dick Foran had become famous as "The Singing Cowboy", and so they had scenes where he sang a song at the White House for President Lincoln, and also for his girlfriend! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this is an extremely rare poster. We have never auctioned this style of half-sheet for this movie and have only auctioned one other style half-sheet for the film in all our years of auctioning! Note also that this poster has been trimmed and it now measures 20 1/4" x 25 3/4" [51 x 65 cm]. Because this poster is quite old and fragile, it can't be reasonably rolled (because that would almost surely damage the poster). However, while it can be sent in a large flat package, it also can be refolded, and sent in a regular flat package, and this would save a great deal on shipping, so we will do that if the new owner asks us to. Condition: fair to good. Most of the blank borders were trimmed off, but not the small writing at the bottom. The poster was folded in the regular way and folded an extra time, and it completely separated on parts of the folds and someone put tape on back of all the folds. There are also pinholes, stains and some small paper loss around the edges. Please bear in mind this extremely rare poster's much lesser condition before bidding on it.
