eMoviePoster.comAuction History Result 2h042 LITTLE ADVENTURESS TC '27 husband & wife both commit adultery, from A.A. Milne play! Date Sold 9/8/2013Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Title Lobby Card (LC TC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) The Little Adventuress, the 1927 William C. de Mille silent romantic adultery melodrama ("Adapted by Clara Beranger from the play 'The Dover Road' by A.A. Milne"; about a man and wife who have marital problems, and the man runs off with a female friend, but they become stranded and stay at a bachelor's house, only to find that the man's wife later shows up with a boyfriend, making for two very uncomfortable "couples"!) starring Vera Reynolds, Victor Varconi, Phyllis Haver, Theodore Kosloff, and Robert Ober. Note that most people only know A.A. Milne as the author of the Winnie the Pooh stories, and most would be quite surprised to learn of this story he wrote, which was one of many plays and screenplays he wrote before he wrote his first successful Winnie the Pooh stories in 1925 (he wrote this play in 1921). NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Condition: very good. The card had pinholes in the corner and some pretty minor border wear. A talented restorer gel backed the card (meaning they backed the card onto a gel material) and they then performed excellent restoration to the above border defects, and then removed the gel backing, so that the card still exactly looks and feels like an original card (and it is!), with no backing at all. The card displays really well! Learn More about condition grades
